When we practise the Dharma or follow a guru, we should have our mind rest into its natural state.

“When we practise the Dharma, when we talk about believing in the Dharma or following a guru, sometimes it becomes a fashion or a fad, and that is not quite right. If it is a fashion or a fad, then our mind is following unstable emotions. Instead, when we practise the Dharma or follow a guru, we should have our mind rest into its natural state. Then, naturally a sense of peace and happiness arises, and we develop a more stable conviction that this is something meaningful within our lifetime. This is what we emphasize in the Dharma.”
