Many people take refuge and practise the good deeds, what would they pray for? Some pray to be a powerful rich man in their next life and from Karma’s perspective, this is achievable since a pure vow must plant the seed of liberation. Therefore if we pray to be a human in next life, we must get it. Just that this isn’t the best or brightest way. The reason why we practise the good instead of the bad is to get ourself liberated from Samsara, thus eternal liberation is what we should be praying for.
有很多學佛的人皈依、行持善法是求什麼呢? 求下一世轉生為一個有錢有勢力的人。這些不是不能求, 從因果方面講, 清淨的發願肯定是解脫的果, 如果發願到人間, 果是肯定到人間的。但不是最好的，也不是真正的光明道。我們行善斷惡的目的主要從輪回中脫離出去。所以，我們應該求究竟的解脫。
