保持清净心 处处可修行 有一位虔诚的佛教信徒，每天都从自家的花园里，采撷鲜花到寺院供佛，一天，当她正送花到佛殿时，碰巧遇到无德禅师从法堂出来，无德禅师非常欣喜的说道：“你每天都这么虔诚的来以香花供佛，依经典的记载，常以香花供佛者，来世当得庄严相貌的福报。” 信徒非常欢喜回答道：“这是应该的，我每天来寺礼佛时，自觉心灵就像洗涤过似的清凉，但回到家中，心就烦乱了，我们一个家庭主妇，如何在烦嚣的城市中保持一颗清净纯洁的心呢？” 无德禅师反问道：“你以鲜花献佛，相信你对花草总有一些常识，我现在问你，你如何保持花朵的新鲜呢？” 信徒答道：“保持花朵新鲜的方法，莫过于每天换水，并且于换水时把花梗剪去一截，因花梗的一端在水里容易腐烂，腐烂之后水份不易吸收，就容易凋谢！” 无德禅师道：“保持一颗清净纯洁的心，其道理也是一样，我们生活环境像瓶里的水，我们就是花，唯有不停净化我们的身心，变化我们的气质，并且不断的忏悔、检讨、改进陋习、缺点，才能不断吸收到大自然的食粮。” 信徒听后，欢喜作礼感谢说道：“谢谢禅师的开示，希望以后有机会亲近禅师，过一段寺院中禅者的生活，享受晨钟暮鼓，菩提梵唱的宁静。” 无德禅师道：“你的呼吸便是梵唱，脉博跳动就是钟鼓，身体便是庙宇，两耳就是菩提，无处不是宁静，又何必等机会到寺院中生活呢？”
