At times, though, it is restraint that matters most.

Sometimes what we do leads to happiness. At other times what we don’t do leads to happiness… we should be aware of how the effort not to harm living beings brings happiness, not just for those who therefore live free from fear and pain, but also for ourselves.

In a world where our worth is often measured in terms of our productivity, we can become caught in feeling that we always have to do something to make things better. At times, though, it is restraint that matters most.
